Focus on Bergamot (Citrus aurantium bergamia)

This cold-pressed oil possesses a complex chemistry and one of the most exotic fragrances. Over 1000 peels are required to produce 30 ounces of oil, which makes it quite costly compared to other citrus oils. It's scent is fresh, uplifting, clean, spicy, citrus-like, relaxing, refreshing and delightful.

The oil is from the fruit of a tree native to Southern Italy and it's highly regarded when it comes to urinary tract infections. It is used commercially as an insect repellent and deodorant. Combining the bactericidal properties with a delicate natural fragrance, gives Bergamot a distinct edge over many synthetic preparations.
